Job summary

Boeing is seeking a Senior Test & Evaluation Laboratory Technician to join the MQ-25 Flight Test Program in Patuxent River, MD. This role involves planning, executing and documenting tests on various products and systems, and guiding test readiness reviews.

Qualifications

  • Active U.S. Secret Security Clearance is required (within 24 months considered active).
  • 10+ years of experience interpreting electrical drawings, schematics, and definitions.
  • 10+ years of experience with sensors and instrumentation including strain gauges, temperature/pressure, accelerometers, and deflection transducers.
  • Experience inspecting, fabricating, installing, routing, terminating, soldering, and repairing electrical wiring harnesses or electrical components.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees activities to design, fabricate, build and analyze test systems, materials, components, software and methodologies.
  • Provides consultation on test requirements, test methods and capabilities.

  • Identifies and resolves test anomalies.
  • Provides consultation on complex laboratory and test-related problems.
  • Coordinates test laboratory asset management.
  • Provides Boeing leadership to government agencies, safety and hazardous materials teams in emergencies.
  • Mentors others.
  • Works under consultative direction.

Boeing is seeking a Senior Test & Evaluation Laboratory Technician to join our team in Patuxent River, MD with the MQ-25 Flight Test Program.

Extended travel to the St. Louis area and Lakehurst, NJ on Domestic Temporary Assignment will be required.

Position Responsibilities:

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.)
  • 10+ years of experience interpreting electrical engineering drawings, schematics, and definition
  • 10+ years of experience with various types of sensors and instrumentation including strain gages, temperature / pressure measurement, accelerometers, and deflection transducers
  • Experience inspecting, fabricating, installing, routing, terminating, soldering, and repairing electrical wiring harnesses; or any variety of electrical components, and associated equipment
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • Extensive experience in the installation and check-out of strain gauges, pressure transducers, accelerometers, fuel flow meters, and thermocouple / RTD sensors, etc
  • Experience troubleshooting signal conditioning equipment and skill setting up numerous sensor types for program requirements
  • Background mentoring / training lower-level technicians while working under minimal direction

Summary Pay Range for Senior Level (Level 5): $96,050 – $129,950
