Job summary

Talent is seeking an experienced Senior Test Analyst to support application modernisation and ongoing technology releases within a major Western Australia public sector organisation.

You will own testing from planning through release across cloud-hosted, web and desktop systems, APIs and Oracle platforms, working with developers, business users and project teams. The role emphasises test strategy, automation and risk-informed decisions.

Qualifications

• At least five years' software testing experience in Agile delivery environments.
• Hands-on testing across application, API/service, database, functional, integration and system testing.
• Experience creating clear, thorough test documentation and reporting.
• Background in supporting or facilitating user acceptance testing (UAT).
• Strong analytical skills and a methodical approach to investigating issues.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and testing deadlines.
• Confident communication skills, including explaining risks and testing advice to stakeholders.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Test Analyst to support application modernisation and ongoing technology releases within a major WA public sector organisation.

Working across systems that support frontline policing and custodial operations, you will help ensure application changes are reliable, accurate and ready for operational use. The work spans cloud-hosted applications, web and desktop systems, APIs and Oracle-based platforms.

About the role

You will take ownership of testing from initial planning through to release, working closely with developers, business representatives and project teams. Assignments may include improvements to a custodial management application, quarterly application releases and a potential external agency referral solution.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Translate business requirements into test scenarios, coverage and acceptance criteria.
• Prepare and maintain test plans, cases, scripts and supporting test data.

• Azure DevOps for test management and defect tracking.
• Oracle-based systems, data validation and migration testing.
