CGI has an immediate need for a Senior Terraform Programmer to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced team environment supporting one of the largest customers. We take an innovative approach to supporting our client, working side-by-side in an agile environment using emerging technologies.

• This role is located at a client site in Reston, VA. A hybrid working model is acceptable.

Your future duties and responsibilities

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Terraform Programmer to lead the design, development, and maintenance of infrastructure automation solutions. This role involves working with Terraform Enterprise and Sentinel policies to ensure secure, scalable, and compliant infrastructure deployments. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development, infrastructure as code (IaC), and CI/CD practices. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust solutions that align with business and technical requirements.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role

• Strong experience with Terraform Enterprise, including module development and management in the Private Module Registry (PMR)

• Proficiency in writing and enforcing Sentinel policies for infrastructure governance

• Solid understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies

• Hands-on experience with HashiCorp Configuration Language (HCL)

• Familiarity with GitLab CI/CD pipelines and Python scripting

• Ability to perform system-level application analysis, design, and unit testing

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to resolve defects across testing cycles

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

• Professional certifications in AWS and Terraform are highly desirable

• 5 to 10 years of software development experience, with a focus on infrastructure automation and DevOps practices
