Job summary

Austin Energy seeks an IT Infrastructure Architect (Telephony Network Engineer III) to lead architecture activities for the telephony and network domain. You will develop designs, roadmaps, and governance while guiding cross-functional teams in deploying secure, scalable unified communications within a 24/7 utility environment.

The role requires on-call rotation, travel between local sites, and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field plus four years of related experience.
• Master’s degree may substitute for two years of experience.
• Valid Texas Driver License depending on assignment.

Responsibilities

• Develops vision, strategy, designs and roadmaps for the domain area.
• Defines guiding principles for enterprise technology decisions.
• Designs technical architecture based on business requirements and IT strategies.
• Leads and facilitates domain architecture governance and collaboration with other architects.
