Job summary

Summit Broadband, located in Southwest Florida, is seeking an experienced Solutions Architect to lead pre- and post-sales technical resources for voice, data, video and related services. You will work with Sales to articulate technology and product positioning, design solutions, and price deployments for XGSPON and WiFi networks.

The role demands 7+ years in telecommunications, deep knowledge of network design (GPON/XGSPON), TCP/IP, VPN, VOIP, and relevant certifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in business, engineering or related discipline required.
• 7+ years telecommunications experience in broadband services required.
• Expertise in network design, routing, switching, including dense and distributed WiFi networks, GPON and XGSPON platforms.
• Expertise in product management and product design.
• Knowledge of Outside Plant fiber design and logical network; connect potential customers with minimal capital exposure.
• Industry certifications including BICSI RCCD and/or LAN specialist, JNCIA, CCDA, or MCSE preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide pre and post sales consultation and assist the sales team in discovery for opportunities.
• Research possible solutions with Engineering and Operations; design, configure and price XGSPON and WiFi networks; help develop business cases with Sales Team.
• Design practical, cost-effective solutions that meet customer needs and maximize reliability; provide specifications and network designs for proposals; jointly present solutions to customers.
• Manage transition from design and sale to implementation by Network Services/Operations; supervise installation, testing, and handover with customer staff.
• Prepare and present training sessions at lunch and learns, sales meetings and external engagements.
• Maintain technical expertise by meeting OEMs and vendors to evaluate products and services.
