Job summary

HII-Mission Technologies seeks a Senior Telecommunications Policy Analyst to support the DoW CIO. You will research, analyze, and develop policy recommendations on spectrum management, satellite communications, and governance for national security objectives.

Position requires SECRET clearance and onsite work in Arlington, VA. Salary is determined by experience, with multiple level bands and internal equity considerations. HII offers extensive career growth and benefits.

Qualifications

• LEVEL 2 requires 2 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's in a related field; 0 years with a Master's.
• LEVEL 3 requires 5 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's in a related field; 3 years with a Master's.
• LEVEL 4 requires 9 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's in a related field; 7 years with a Master's.
• Analytical and research skills to evaluate policy impacts and trade-offs.
• Ability to communicate complex technical and policy issues clearly to diverse stakeholders.
• Familiarity with DoW spectrum/space policy and initiatives.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Collaborative team player willing and eager to learn.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a structured environment.
• Clearance: SECRET security clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Support the development, review, and coordination of telecommunications-related policies in alignment with DoW objectives and national security directives.
• Ensure policies are clear, fact-based, and consistent with external guidance (e.g., DoW, Executive Orders).
• Analyze internal and external telecommunications documents to assess DoW policy impacts, conflicts, and opportunities for improvement.
• Prepare reports, briefs, and presentations for leadership and decision-makers on telecommunications policy issues, compliance status, and strategic recommendations.
• Translate technical findings into actionable policy recommendations for non-technical audiences.
