Cynet Health seeks a Senior Telecommunications Network Engineer to join our client’s Huntsville-based team. You will design, implement, and maintain advanced network infrastructure, ensuring reliability, performance, and security for critical communications services.

The role emphasizes collaboration with cross-functional teams, leadership for junior engineers, and ongoing evaluation of new telecom technologies. Hybrid work is offered in Huntsville, Alabama.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in EE/CS/Telecommunications or related field.
• 7+ years of experience in telecommunications network engineering.
• Experience with routing protocols (BGP, OSPF) and switching.
• Strong knowledge of IP networking, MPLS, VPN.
• Experience with LTE/5G wireless systems desirable.
• Proficiency in network analysis tools.
• CCNA/CCNP/JNCIE certifications desirable.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage complex telecommunications network solutions (IP/MPLS, Ethernet, wireless).
• Perform capacity planning, performance monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new technologies.
• Develop and maintain network documentation (diagrams, configurations).
• Implement and enforce security policies and best practices.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers.
• Stay updated on telecommunications trends and evaluate applicability.
