Job summary

Qualus is seeking a Senior Telecommunications Engineer to design complex telecom solutions for power utilities, produce complete design packages, and support construction teams.

The role requires a BS in Electrical Engineering, 10+ years' experience, ability to obtain NERC CIP clearance, and US citizenship or Green Card. You will collaborate across engineering and field personnel and use tools like Adobe Pro, Visio, and MS Office.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or equivalent; PE preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in researching and architecting/designing complex telecommunication solutions for utilities.
• Must pass a NERC CIP level background check.
• US citizenship or possess a valid Green Card (Permanent Resident Card) to be considered.

Responsibilities

• Research and create engineering designs of complex telecommunications solutions in the Power/Utility industry.
• Create designs: Detailed single line diagrams (SLD), and full construction packages for robust telecommunications solutions: OPGW/ADSS/DWDM Fiber, Microwave, SONET MUX, MHz & Repeaters, Satellite, Radio, FAN, Circuit Paths, Power, Switches, Routers, TCP/IP, and Firewalls.
• Create and markup SLDs, interconnect diagrams, WAN, LAN, tower drawings, etc.
• Multi-task and manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
• Collaborate with management, substation, Transmission, Distribution, Specialists. And field technicians.
• Use Adobe Pro, Excel, Visio, and MS Office suite to create detailed documentation and designs.
