Job summary

RSM US LLP seeks a Technology Risk Consulting Supervisor to lead high‑impact IT audit and SOC engagements for financial services clients, mentoring teams and collaborating with client executives. The role focuses on strengthening technology, security, and compliance postures while growing RSM's practice.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years in IT risk management, SOX/COBIT experience, and the ability to manage engagements, staff, and budgets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• 4+ years in business process controls and IT risk management, internal audit, IT security, or related IT compliance work.
• Experience leading engagements and managing staff.
• Experience managing project financials and completing projects within budgets.
• Knowledge of FFIEC, SOX, COSO, COBIT, ITIL, ISO27001, PCI, HIPAA and GLBA.
• Ability to be in person in New York City 2 days/week.

Responsibilities

• Consulting with client leadership on design and optimization of IT controls across business processes, accounting, and information technologies.
• Create internal control documentation for engagements (narratives, process and data flows).
• Lead SOC attestations and other third‑party opinion services in financial services.
• Support external financial statement and SOX compliance engagements for ITGCs.
• Assess IT security policies, procedures, and controls across applications, networks, and operating systems.
• Review, document, evaluate, and test application controls across ERP systems and software.
