Job summary

Bank of America is seeking a senior technology leader in Chicago to build and guide a team of 8+ engineers delivering strategic software solutions. You will shape technology strategy, promote Agile delivery, and mentor stakeholders across global teams.

Responsibilities include coaching, ensuring alignment with product roadmaps, and maintaining enterprise standards for security and data management while driving continuous improvement across the engineering lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Strong project management experience structuring and delivering complex initiatives.
• Proven experience in Enterprise Application Development delivering large-scale projects with local and distributed teams.
• Working knowledge of Java, Spring Boot and Microservices architecture, Angular/React, Typescript, CSS/HTML
• Deep knowledge and experience with identity and access management (IAM) and authentication technologies, including OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect (OIDC), SAML, FIDO2/WebAuthn, Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), and LDAP.
• Knowledge and experience in containerized deployment at an enterprise scale leveraging platforms such as OpenShift, Kubernetes, Docker, etc.
• Proficiency in leveraging AI-powered development tools to improve engineering productivity, code quality, testing, and software delivery outcomes.
• Excellent communication skills required with ability to manage and collaborate with senior stakeholders and provide leadership updates.
• Ability to operate within a global environment working with stakeholders from multiple locations and time zones.

• Builds and manages teams informing workforce strategy and hiring practices, setting and tracking maturity and quality objectives, and training employees/teams to address feedback and achieve quality and performance objectives.
• Facilitates performance and career development of employees/teams through performance reviews, coaching, and creating development plans that are needed to build competencies and skills.
• Manages solution delivery and application performance in production (app health, resiliency, performance, security, enterprise data management standards, audit exams and reviews), ensuring all relevant risk, financial, and compliance policies are met.
• Manages relationships with business and technology partners and leads and creates followership in Communities of Practice in the organization.
• Contributes to the technology strategy for their technical domain.
• Creates an inclusive and healthy working environment and helps to resolve organizational impediments/blockers.
• Ensures that execution is aligned with product strategy by working with product management and other stakeholders.

• Improve delivery pipelines and release management by focusing on improvements to Continuous Integration and Delivery tooling and processes. Engage with other technical stakeholders pertaining to efficient functioning of CI-CD pipeline.
• Support/mentor/coach team(s) on design and best practices for high code performance and maintainability– e.g. pairing, code reviews.
• Constantly seek better ways of solving technical problems and designing the solution, not afraid of challenging the status quo.
• Prior experience working within Agile methodologies / frameworks.
• Experience with IAM/CIAM platforms such as PingOne, PingFederate, HYPR, Okta, or ForgeRock.

Pay range$135,900.00 - $220,000.00 annualized salary, offers to be determined based on experience, education and skill set.Discretionary incentive eligibleThis role is eligible to participate in the annual discretionary plan.
