Job Description
This job is responsible for building and leading a team to deliver technology products and services that meet business outcomes. It involves developing a technology strategy, ensuring solutions comply with applicable standards, promoting design, engineering, and organizational practices, and advocating for modern, Agile solution delivery practices. The role includes coaching, mentoring, providing feedback, identifying emerging talent, fostering leadership skills, and managing stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Builds and manages teams by performing financial activities to inform workforce strategy and hiring practices, setting and tracking maturity and quality objectives, and training employees/teams to address feedback and achieve quality and performance objectives.
- Facilitates performance and career development of employees/teams through performance reviews, coaching, and creating development plans that build competencies and skills.
- Manages solution delivery and application performance in production, ensuring all relevant risk, financial, and compliance policies are met.
- Manages relationships with business and technology partners and leads and creates followership in Communities of Practice in the organization.
- Contributes to the technology strategy for their technical domain.
- Creates an inclusive and healthy working environment and helps to resolve organizational impediments/blockers.
- Ensures that execution is aligned with product strategy by working with product management and other stakeholders.
- Lead engineering design and delivery for deliver Image Factory capabilities.
- Own platform delivery for VM and container image pipelines.
- Design and evolve control plane architecture.
- Implement state-machine-driven lifecycle workflows.
- Enable cross-platform hybrid cloud identity and Zero Trust.
- Integrate infrastructure, network, and cloud engineering.
- Embed security, reliability, and compliance.
- Leverage AI to reduce operational toil and improve insights.

Required Qualifications
- 5+ years proven leadership in platform or software engineering.
- 5+ years experience with software development and system design background.
- Deep infrastructure and networking experience.
- Experience with control planes and distributed systems.
- Experience with state-machine workflow orchestration.
- Experience with hybrid cloud identity and Zero Trust.
- Strong stakeholder and communication skills.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with VM and container image lifecycle platforms.
- CI/CD and Infrastructure-as-Code experience.
