Ryan Companies US Inc in Minneapolis seeks a Senior Technology System Integration Engineer to join our in-office team responsible for data integration and automation across Architecture, Engineering, and Preconstruction groups.

The role requires expertise in API connectivity, data transformation, ETL processes, and scripting, with a focus on scalable solutions, performance tuning and cross-functional collaboration to support our enterprise systems.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in Technology Systems Engineer or Data Engineer roles.
• Proficient in SSIS development and data transformation for ETL on-prem and cloud.
• Experience connecting external/internal data sources (GCP, Azure).
• Exposure to enterprise managed file transfers and robotic/AI processing (UIPath, GoAnywhere).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and debugging across stacks.

Responsibilities

• Support and build integrations with AEC technologies including Autodesk, Deltek, and related systems.
• Automate data transformation, extraction and loading processes via APIs and scripting.
• Manage data migration tools and pipelines across GCP, Azure, and AWS.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define processes and translate to scalable tech solutions.
• Implement automated data flow, error handling and performance tuning.
• Troubleshoot performance issues and maintain system reliability.
• Document processes, workflows and configurations for knowledge sharing.

This is an in-office opportunity with a flexible work schedule. This person will engage with and build solutions for Ryan Companies' Architecture, Engineering, Virtual Design Coordination, and Preconstruction teams. Skillsets should include expertise in data transformation, automation, and process optimization, with capabilities in managing API connectivity, troubleshooting, error handling, and solution implementation. This role requires a problem-solver who can analyze complex systems, design efficient workflows, and implement robust solutions to support data integration and operational needs as well as mentor and guide others towards designing sustainable technology solutions. What you can expect to do:

• Industry Technology Engagement: Support and build integrations and connections with AEC technologies including Autodesk products, Deltek, Reality Capture platforms, Destini Estimator, and other estimating systems and solutions.
• ETL & Scripting: Utilize API connectivity, error management and other methods to automate data transformation, extraction, and loading processes.
• Data Migration Engineering: Manage and support enterprise-wide tools for data migration including managed file transfers and robotic processing (GCP, SQL, Azure, AWS).
• Process Definition & Solution Engineering: Collaborate with stakeholders to analyze business needs, define processes, and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
• Data Integration & Workflow Automation: Implement automated processes for data flow, error handling, and performance tuning across enterprise systems.
• System Performance & Optimization: Troubleshoot performance issues, perform upgrades/updates, optimize pipelines, and enhance system reliability.
• Technical Documentation: Maintain clear documentation of processes, workflows, and configurations to support operational excellence and knowledge sharing.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with developers, database administrators, business analysts, and other technology and business teams to deliver integrated solutions.
• Security & Compliance: Ensure that all solutions comply with security, data governance, and compliance standards.

What we expect you to have:

• 10+ years of experience as a Technology Systems Engineer, Data Engineer, or similar role. Technology experience in the AEC field is not required, but will be strongly considered.
• Demonstrative proficiency in SSIS development, data transformation development, API connectivity, and other scripting languages for automation and ETL processing (onprem and cloud).
• Strong experience with connecting external and internal data sources to create a holistic integration (GCP, Azure)
• Experience with enterprise managed file transfer solutions and robotic/AI processing technologies (UIPath, GoAnywhere, etc.).
• Strong expertise in building process definitions from incomplete requirements and translating them into scalable technology solutions.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills across infrastructure and application technology stacks.
• Familiarity with enterprise data architecture and integration patterns.
• Experience with monitoring tools and logging frameworks for system health tracking.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, ITSM and DevOps practices including source control management.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Compensation: The base pay range is $100,000-$135,000/annually. The salary may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include commission and/or an incentive program.
