Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate degree in computer science, computer engineering, information systems, or a closely-related field, or its equivalent in total course credits/units.
• Three (3) years of experience analyzing, installing, configuring, enhancing, and/or maintaining the components of a system or platform.
• One year of additional experience may substitute for the required degree.
• Completion of the 1010 Information Systems Trainee Program may be substituted for the required degree.

Responsibilities

• Establishes wired and wireless network environments by installing, configuring, testing and documenting equipment and networks.
• Leads day-to-day networking tasks to ensure reliability and serviceability.
• Provides technical support and analyzes reported network problems.
• Configures firewall security settings and access permissions.
• Leads network upgrade or expansion projects, including hardware/software installation and testing.
• Develops and documents installation, network topology and troubleshooting procedures.
