This is a fast-paced compliance focused role in a rapidly changing environment. The position is part of an agile structured team which provides the opportunity to support multiple compliance assessments, with a focus on NIST CSF and control testing, building your experience in multiple IT security frameworks. You will collaborate with a fun and close-knit team working to document and test our Cyber and IT controls, gain feedback from stakeholders on how we are meeting those controls to help us maintain corporate compliance directives.

The Senior Technology and Cybersecurity Compliance Professional designs, maintains and oversees cybersecurity and technology assurance work across Humana to ensure that appropriate security controls, standards, and policies are implemented and upheld to account for technology and cybersecurity risks. The Senior Technology and Cybersecurity Compliance Professional work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.

The Senior Technology and Cybersecurity Compliance Professional works with relevant stakeholders to ensure Humana’s information security systems and procedures are in compliance with regulatory standards, industry practices, and Humana’s established security controls. Develops and oversees the technology and cybersecurity compliance initiatives, programs, and projects for Humana. Ensures Humana and IT equities and groups are kept up to date with compliance policies. Begins to influence department’s strategy. Makes decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approach for project components, and work is performed without direction. Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments.

Role Requirements

  • 3 – 5 years’ experience in IT, information systems auditing, control, security, or assurance
  • Understanding of cybersecurity framework, industry standards s and/or best practices e.g., NIST Cybersecurity Framework, CIS Controls, PCI DSS, HIPAA
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent organization skills with ability to prioritize

Remote/WAH Requirements

  • WAH requirements: Must have the ability to provide a high speed DSL or cable modem for a home office. Associates or contractors who live and work from home in the state of California will be provided payment for their internet expense.
  • A minimum standard speed for optimal performance of 25x10 (25mpbs download x 10mpbs upload) is required.
  • Satellite and Wireless Internet service is NOT allowed for this role.
  • A dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information

Travel: While this is a remote position, occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be required.

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.

$97,900 - $133,500 per year

This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
