As a Senior Supermarket Rack Refrigeration HVAC Technician at our local retail store, your role will support and oversee repairs within the Walmart facilities' Refrigeration HVAC equipment team and assets by utilizing commercial HVAC and Refrigeration skills and using hand tools, digital tools, power tools, and other equipment to complete jobs.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 10 years’ experience in commercial Refrigeration HVAC maintenance
• Large Scale Rack Refrigeration Experience
• Type I/Type II or Universal Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Certification for Refrigerant handling
• Hold a valid state-issued driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) report
• 18 years or older with a High School Diploma or equivalent

Job Duties:

• Maintain and repair Walmart facility's Refrigeration HVAC equipment and assets by utilizing commercial HVAC and Refrigeration skills and using hand tools, digital tools, power tools, and other equipment to complete jobs.
• Utilize the work order management system to receive repair Work Orders to support Stores and Store associates and document repair activities.
• Provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls.
• Inspect, operate, or test facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues.
• Complete all required training requirements to operate equipment and tools safely.
• Ensure compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration and Environmental Protection Agency regulations and guidelines by performing work according to practices and procedures outlined in the Walmart Refrigeration HVAC safety policy and environmental guidelines.
• Lift up to 75 pounds, move up and down ladders, and work comfortably at heights frequently.

Compensation:

• Individual compensation packages are based on various factors including skill set, experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors.

The hourly wage range for this position is $26.00-$51.00. The actual hourly rate will meet or exceed the minimum wage applicable to the location. Additional premiums ranging from $0.35 to $3.00 per hour may apply based on schedule, facility, season, or work performed, and multiple premiums may be combined if applicable.

Minimum Qualifications:

Outlined below are the required minimum qualifications for this position. If none are listed, there are no minimum qualifications.

Option 1: 10 years’ experience in HVAC/grocery rack refrigeration. Option 2: 8 years’ experience in HVAC/grocery rack refrigeration and AAS in A/C and Refrigeration. Universal EPA Certification.

Preferred Qualifications:

Completion of a 2-year technical/vocational HVAC/R program or 2-year associate’s of applied science in A/C and refrigeration, excellent driving record, prior experience with Glycol and C02 systems.
