Job summary

Merck & Co., Inc. in Rahway, NJ, USA is seeking a QC virology specialist to join our quality assurance team. You will perform virology testing, ELISA, titration, and contribute to method validation and SOP creation in a fast-paced lab environment.

You will collaborate with multiple functional groups, follow cGMP guidelines, and support continuous process improvements while maintaining precise documentation and reporting.

Qualifications

• Lab experience in a biological/virology testing lab setting.
• Experience with virus and bacterial titration and ELISA concepts.
• Ability to follow procedural guidelines and work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Focus on safety and quality to maintain a compliant site.
• Ensure activities are completed by agreed timelines.
• Support local QC routine virology testing and other tests as assigned.
• Assist with validation of QC methods as needed.
• Create and/or update SOPs for QC.
• Author, review and/or approve protocols and reports to QA or USDA.
• Assist with QC testing to meet internal and external customer needs.
• Prepare periodic project updates and participate in calls/meetings.
• Support identification and application of new technologies.
