Purpose:

Vaccines M&S is preparing its future through an ambitious program named Modulus. The Modulus Project is a cornerstone of Sanofi's strategy, aiming to create a new manufacturing concept with evolutive, multi-product, modular, adaptable, and agile facilities, leveraging disruptive technologies to address vaccine business challenges.

As a Senior Technician I (Utility), you will oversee the operation and maintenance of site systems, including Facility and Utility equipment/systems. You will establish end-to-end operation and maintenance solutions for F&U equipment, aligning with Industry and Digital 4.0 initiatives.

This role requires high interaction and collaboration with vendors, automation solution providers, consultants, and external skid vendors.

The Senior Technician I (Utility) reports to the Utility Manager.

Key accountabilities / Education and Experience
1. Education Required
  • Related Diploma or Advanced Diploma from an accredited technical institution.
  • Minimum 8 years’ experience in operation and maintenance of F&U systems & pharmaceutical manufacturing plants.
  • Experience with Boiler operation and certification is advantageous.
2. Experience Required
  • Strong technical knowledge and hands-on experience in Utility and HVAC systems in pharmaceutical or vaccine manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of pharmaceutical regulatory requirements and audit participation (e.g., FDA, EMA, HSA).
  • Basic report writing skills.
  • Support in maintenance budget estimation.
  • Perform basic calibrations (temperature and pressure) for F&U equipment.
  • Plan, schedule, and execute preventive maintenance with stakeholders to minimize production impact.
  • Lead scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Manage spare parts requirements.
  • Strict adherence to GMP and GDP SOPs, reporting discrepancies promptly.
  • Willingness to work overtime and rotating shifts.
  • Follow SOPs and work orders in CMMS, review, and close work orders regularly.
  • Coordinate and supervise contractors/vendors for maintenance activities.
3. Skills Required
  • Interpret electrical symbols and schematic diagrams.
  • Analyze power supply voltages.
  • Mechanical maintenance skills.
