Position Summary...

Walmart is hiring Specialty Equipment Technicians to work on Food Equipment and other specialty equipment and assets.

• Diagnose and repair commercial equipment to support Walmart stores.
• Develop Preventative Maintenance schedules and conduct training for internal technicians and Store Associates.
• Install and program new equipment.
• Work independently, taking responsibility for assigned equipment.
• Communicate effectively with Store Associates, Maintenance Associates, and Walmart leadership.

Job Responsibilities:

• Maintain Preventative Maintenance & Reactive service for food service equipment across approximately 28 Walmart stores.
• Complete all training requirements for safe operation and maintenance of food equipment.
• Use industry-standard work order management systems to accept and complete requests.
• Provide hands-on training for equipment care and cleaning to store staff and technicians.
• Conduct daily inspections for cleanliness and equipment repair needs.
• Assess equipment condition and recommend replacements.
• Manage parts inventory for food equipment repairs.

Required Work Experience:

• At least 5 years of service experience in commercial Food Equipment.
• Familiarity with operating, servicing, programming, and installing equipment.

Preferred Work Experience:

• Experience servicing equipment from major manufacturers (e.g., Hobart, Rational, Oliver, Giles, Bizerba, TRUE, etc.).
• Over 10 years of experience in commercial Food Equipment.

Minimum Qualifications:

Vocational or Technical certification and 5+ years' experience in trades like plumbing, electrical, or material handling; or 7+ years' experience in these trades. Valid Driver's License and eligibility for a Commercial Driver's License (CDL). One year of experience with office software (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).

Preferred Qualifications:

Optional qualifications include additional certifications or experience in related trades.
