Actalent is seeking a Technical Writer II to develop and maintain documentation for software and data solutions, collaborating with engineers, product, and quality teams in an agile environment. This fully remote contract role focuses on clear, accurate documentation for mobile apps, backend platforms, and complex architectures.

Qualifications

• 35+ years of technical writing experience supporting software or highly technical environments.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Software Engineering, Technical Communications, or a related discipline.
• Proven experience creating technical documentation for software applications, backend systems, APIs, data platforms, and system architecture.
• Strong understanding of front-end, backend, and end-to-end system architecture.
• Experience working in Agile environments (Scrum/Kanban) and with version-controlled docs.

Responsabilités

• Collaborate with engineering and software teams to capture requirements for mobile apps, APIs, data platforms, and architectures.
• Create, edit, and maintain high-quality documentation including software requirements, design specs, and architecture descriptions.
• Detail system behavior, interfaces, and data flows with clear, structured documentation.
• Support compliance with Quality Management System and other standards.
• Contribute to documentation standards, templates, and processes across the organization.
