You will edit, translate, and format highly technical content for nuclear deterrence programs, collaborating with SMEs, management, and leadership to ensure accurate, audience-focused materials.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Communications, English, Journalism, or related field with 5+ years of technical writing and editing.
Experience editing documents and managing their development.
Experience with Microsoft Office software.
Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE Q-level security clearance.

Responsibilities

Edit and translate technical information into concise language for a national security program.
Write, format, and edit highly technical content using Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio.
Collaborate with writers, SMEs, and management to meet audience needs.
Manage document workflows, define customer needs, and uphold standards.
Coordinate documentation release and provide monthly reports.
Interview subjects, observe experiments, and verify knowledge for docs.
Embed within a technical team to anticipate documentation needs.
Record actions during meetings and reviews.
Interact with colleagues, leadership, and senior officials with attention to detail.
