Job summary

Contiem, Inc. is seeking a Senior Technical Writer to lead and enhance documentation across our client portfolio.

The ideal candidate brings 15+ years of technical writing experience, excels in fast-paced environments, and can support clients with varying standards. You will collaborate with SMEs, project managers, and the writing team, manage multiple projects, and ensure documentation aligns with prescribed standards and user needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in technical writing or related field.
• 15+ years of technical writing experience as primary function.
• Ability to work with engineers, field service personnel, and developers to gather data.
• Experience with XML/DITA and multiple documentation tools.
• Knowledge of standards for assembly, installation, operation and maintenance docs.

Responsibilities

• Take a big-picture view of large content sets and define a content information model.
• Collaborate with SMEs, PMs, and writers to align with standards and audiences.
• Lead docs projects from planning to publication; manage timelines across multiple clients.
• Create/update docs for products and projects (manuals, IOMs, SOPs, user guides, online help).
• Ensure accuracy and adherence to client and Contiem standards.
• Proofread peers’ work and provide constructive feedback.
