Job summary

General Atomics Systems Integration, LLC (GA-SI) seeks a skilled technical writer to develop detailed operator, maintenance and troubleshooting procedures, checklists, and training materials for complex systems. You will ensure accuracy and clarity, coordinate reviews, and prepare documents for the program management team.

You will lead a small-to-medium team on documentation projects, gather technical data, and communicate results clearly to technical and non-technical audiences while adhering

Qualifications

• Associate degree in a technical discipline with 10+ years of engineering/scientific experience and 2+ years in management/customer interfaces.
• Strong understanding of military/commercial systems and technical writing/editing principles; experience in producing technical manuals.
• Ability to write DoD and commercial publications in proper formats and to work with IETM tools for technical orders/publications.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to obtain/maintain DoD security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Research, document and develop operator, maintenance and troubleshooting procedures, checklists, specifications and training materials.
• Collect technical information from drawings, procedures and expert interviews to support documents.
• Ensure documents meet specifications and contractual requirements, including illustrations and graphics.
• Coordinate technical reviews and approvals, and present documents to program management.
