Job summary

Abbott Cancer Diagnostics is seeking a Senior Technical Writer to develop and modify technical documents for instruments, automation, SOPs, and study reports. You will partner with engineers and scientists to ensure accuracy and drive documentation projects to meet regulatory and user needs.

You will mentor peers, create training materials, and lead reviews with SMEs while delivering clear, actionable content across business units.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or GED with relevant experience.
• 7+ years of technical writing in engineering/biotech.
• 3+ years in a regulatory environment (as stated)

Responsibilities

• Managing projects to create and evolve documentation with regulatory, quality, users, and SMEs.
• Mentor and review documentation for other technical writers.
• Create educational materials and workshops across Abbott Cancer Diagnostics.
• Collaborate with internal departments to understand documentation needs.
• Lead pre-review of drafts with SMEs and reconcile comments.
• Partner with cross-functional SMEs to understand product and audience requirements.
• Write and edit technical information for clear understanding.
• Produce high-quality documentation meeting standards
