Position Description:

CGI Federal has an exciting opportunity for a technical writer within our Intel sector advancing the national security mission through cutting edge technology. You must have a passion for keeping pace with rapidly evolving technology advancements and leveraging your knowledge on a highly collaborative team to deliver state-of-the-art capabilities. You will be responsible for authoring deliverables that span from business process to descriptions of highly technical architectures and solutions.

This role requires a strong understanding of the intelligence community along with principles of data design, engineering, and architecture and the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. CGI Federal is growing its high-performance team whose members share a passion for building high-quality, scalable, advanced IT solutions in a collaborative, fast-paced, outcome-driven mission.

This position is located in our Fairfax office; however, a hybrid working model is acceptable.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

• Leverage deep subject matter knowledge and experience to lead matrixed teams and deliver complex, crosscutting programs.
• Facilitate collaboration and shares insight with both Government and contractor personnel.
• Propose and direct major technology assignments.
• Coordinate milestones and performance metrics.
• May supervise others.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• BS degree and 12 years’ direct experience
• Active TS/SCI clearance
• Demonstrated experience writing documentation, procedure manuals, and training materials
• Develop comprehensive documentation, writing user-friendly content of broad target audience
• Turn insights into language for user success, and translating complex information into simple, polished, engaging content.
Desired qualifications/non-essential skills required:
• Masters Degree
• Demonstrated experience working with engineers to improve user experience, refining content, and creating visuals and diagrams for technical support content.

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $88,200.00 - $190,900.00.
