Job summary

Entergy in Louisiana is seeking a Senior Technical Training Specialist to deliver progressive technical skills training to craft personnel in Distribution Line, utility automation, and safety mandated programs.

You will evaluate participant competence, develop materials, and work with ULD leadership to align training with safety and performance goals. Travel up to 25% of the time may be required.

Qualifications

• Technical associate degree or equivalent utility experience.
• Technical Training Specialist: 6+ years utility industry experience with strong distribution/line operations, ability to deliver and develop training materials (no degree).
• Technical Training Specialist, Sr: 8+ years utility industry experience with strong distribution/line operations, ability to deliver and develop training materials (with degree: 5+ years).

Responsibilities

• Conduct safety and technical skills training programs for employees.
• Mitigate risk in delivery of training and report safety violations.
• Evaluate training needs and develop curricula for safe, compliant performance.
• Facilitate delivery of skills instruction across formats including distance learning.
• Observe and evaluate trainee performance to guide progression decisions.
• Evaluate training effectiveness and provide feedback to management.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to identify best practices and new training needs.
• Provide opportunities for staff development and training record management.
• Learn and utilize technology and support training records reporting.
