A leading company in the oil & gas sector is looking for a Senior Technical Support Engineer 1 to assist in the development and qualification of new sealing technologies. Fieldbridge currently seeking a Senior Technical Support Engineer 1 to support new product development and qualification efforts for a major client in the oil & gas sector.

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 hours/day
Pay Rate: Up to $200/hour
The ideal candidate will be a seasoned subject matter expert in high-pressure metal annulus seals and wellhead/tree equipment. You will play a critical role in supporting the development and qualification of new sealing technologies for wellhead systems, working closely with engineers, suppliers, and customers.
Interpret customer specifications related to product engineering.
Perform finite element analysis (FEA) on assemblies with sealing components using ANSYS.
Specify appropriate materials and geometries for metal annulus seals and associated features.
Write and review qualification test procedures.
Provide on-site support for qualification testing in the Houston area.
Troubleshoot manufacturing and testing issues; recommend corrective actions.
Mentor and guide junior engineers on wellhead seal design and analysis.
Successful completion of PR2F and customer qualification testing for a new wellhead system seal.
Delivery of all design verification and validation documentation for the seal.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical preferred).
15+ years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry.
Strong expertise in API 6A and/or API 17D standards.
Proven experience developing metal seals for wellhead annulus applications.
Proficiency in ANSYS for FEA and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Deep understanding of vendor capabilities for metal and elastomeric seals.
Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and follow established procedures.
