Job summary

HiredFirst, a regional medical center in Reno, NV, is seeking a Technical Specialist to serve as the subject matter expert across pre-analytical, analytical, and post-analytical lab procedures. You will work under the Clinical Laboratory Supervisor and coordinate with IT/LIS teams to ensure workflow efficiency and data integrity.

The role requires NV CLT/Histotechnologist licenses, ability to obtain NV General Supervisor license, and ASCP MLS/HT certification or equivalent, with 3–5 years of CLS

Qualifications

• State of Nevada Clinical Laboratory Technologist or Histotechnologist license required at hire.
• Ability to obtain and maintain Nevada General Supervisor license.
• National certification as MLS, Histotechnologist (ASCP) or equivalent; Specialist certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the SME ensuring operational, quality, and technical accuracy across pre-analytical, analytical, and post-analytical procedures in designated lab areas.
• Collaborate with IT and LIS analysts to support system accuracy and workflow efficiency.
• Perform duties outlined in MLS/Histotechnologist job descriptions as directed by the Clinical Laboratory Supervisor.
