Job summary

HOLT CAT is seeking a technical assistant to support the sales, service, and parts departments at our Waco facility. You will act as a liaison to Caterpillar on technical issues and provide leadership on specialized systems.

The role includes applied failure analysis, maintenance of technical tooling, and mentoring technicians. Requires strong CAT knowledge and experience with hydraulic and electrical systems. Onsite position with occasional travel.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field preferred.
• Three or more years of related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform technical assistance and support to sales, service, and parts departments.
• Serve as liaison to CAT and Caterpillar on technical issues.
• Conduct failure analysis and provide guidance on specialized systems.
• Maintain and update technical service tooling and library.
• Mentor Technical Communicator and Technical Service Technician; ensure required Caterpillar certifications.
