Job summary

Bombas is seeking a Senior Technical Designer to own sock construction, fit, and quality from concept through production. This hands-on role requires deep engineering insight into knitting construction, yarn behavior, and scale-fit across sizes.

You’ll partner with Design, Product Development, and overseas factories to deliver durable, comfortable products that meet Bombas quality standards. As a senior contributor, you’ll lead tech packs, drive fit testing, and manage approvals across Buy Ready

Qualifications

• 10+ years of technical design experience in socks/hosiery or knit construction.
• Strong knowledge of sock construction, yarn behavior, and grading across sizes.
• Experience building tech packs and managing fit/grading processes.

Responsibilities

• Own technical specs and construction details from concept through bulk production.
• Build and maintain detailed tech packs with knit specs and yarn compositions.
• Lead fit sessions and testing across full size range for comfort and durability.
• Communicate spec and fit changes clearly to vendors and factories.
• Own final fit/construction approvals in Buy Ready and QA samples.
• Mentor junior designers and contribute to process improvements.
