Job summary

Ellenco Estágios e Treinamentos seeks an experienced Scrum/Java backend engineer to lead agile practices and deliver scalable services. You’ll guide ceremonies, remove blockers, and partner with product and architecture teams to shape the backlog and drive improvements.

You will design and build backend services in Java/Spring Boot, mentor through TDD, and ensure quality through robust CI/CD pipelines and automated testing. A Bachelor’s degree is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and facilitate all Scrum ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives
• Actively remove technical and process-related impediments to maintain team velocity
• Partner with the Product Owner to refine and prioritize the backlog and track Agile metrics (velocity, cycle time, burndown)
• Coach the team on Agile best practices, self-organization, and continuous improvement
• Manage all phases of the SDLC from requirements through deployment and ongoing support
• Implement and optimize development methodologies such as Scrum, Kanban, Waterfall, and DevOps
• Oversee quality assurance activities, including unit, integration, and UAT testing
• Support and manage CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitHub, GitLab, Jenkins
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Java and Spring Boot
• Lead code reviews, enforce TDD practices, and uphold engineering quality standards
• Participate in architectural discussions to ensure scalability and long-term alignment
