Snorkel AI is seeking a Senior Technical Recruiter for Research Science to identify, source, and engage PhD-level researchers for our fast-growing AI company. You will work across academia and industry, building a diverse pipeline and delivering a best-in-class candidate experience.

The role requires deep startup recruiting experience, strong familiarity with SF Bay Area academic networks, and the ability to partner with Research leadership to shape hiring strategy.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience, with a focus on PhD-level Research Scientist or applied research roles in AI/ML.
• Demonstrated success recruiting in high-growth startup environments.
• Strong familiarity with the San Francisco Bay Area academic and research talent landscape.
• Fluency in reading and evaluating research talent through publication history and conferences.
• Proficiency with modern recruiting tools and platforms (Greenhouse, ModernLoop, Gem).

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute recruiting strategies to attract PhD-level Research Scientist talent.
• Track and analyze recruiting metrics to improve speed, efficiency, and outcomes.
• Deliver a best-in-class candidate experience at every touchpoint.
• Collaborate with Research leadership and hiring managers on hiring strategy.
• Stay attuned to AI/ML talent market trends and provide insights to leadership.
• Represent Snorkel at AI conferences and in academic communities.
• Coordinate interviews and manage the interview process with stakeholders.
• Assist onboarding and immigration processes for new hires.
