Job summary

Skyryse is seeking a Senior Technical Recruiter to own full-cycle recruiting for specialized engineering roles, partnering with hiring managers and executives to build search strategies and close candidates in a competitive market.

You will work across aerospace, avionics, embedded software, and other engineering disciplines, guiding search processes and improving recruiting practices as Skyryse grows.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of recruiting experience, including full-cycle ownership of technical or engineering searches.
• Ability to translate technical requirements into clear candidate profiles and search strategies.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and disciplined pipeline management.

Responsibilities

• Own full-cycle recruiting for specialized technical and engineering roles, from sourcing to offer negotiation.
• Collaborate with hiring managers from management to C-Suite to define profiles and priorities.
• Develop sourcing strategies to reach niche talent, including passive candidates.
• Understand Skyryse's technology and hiring needs to identify relevant backgrounds.
• Establish relationships with candidates across aerospace, avionics, embedded software, electrical engineering, manufacturing.
• Advise managers on candidate quality, compensation expectations, and search progress.
• Manage interview logistics, feedback, and follow-ups to keep searches moving.
• Own Greenhouse configuration and candidate records for pipeline visibility.
• Partner with People Team to develop competitive offers and close talent.
• Identify gaps in the recruiting process and implement practical improvements.

As a Senior Technical Recruiter at Skyryse, you will own full-cycle recruiting for specialized engineering and technical roles and help shape how we hire as we grow. Reporting to our Chief of People Officer, you'll partner directly with hiring managers and executives to build search strategies, engage hard-to-fill talent across aviation and safety-critical engineering, and close candidates in a competitive market. This is a hands-on role with real scope: alongside running your own searches, you'll help define the processes, tools, and practices that make up Skyryse's recruiting function.

Responsibilities:

• Own full-cycle recruiting for specialized technical and engineering roles, from sourcing and initial screening through offer negotiation and close.
• Work with hiring managers, ranging from first line management to C-Suite, to translate technical requirements into clear candidate profiles, targeted search strategies, and hiring priorities.
• Develop creative sourcing strategies to reach qualified candidates in niche talent markets, including candidates who may not be actively seeking new opportunities.
• Build an understanding of Skyryse's technology, engineering teams, and hiring needs to better identify relevant backgrounds and engage candidates on the opportunity.
• Establish direct relationships with candidates across aerospace, avionics, embedded software, electrical engineering, manufacturing, and other specialized disciplines as hiring needs evolve.
• Advise hiring managers on candidate quality, talent availability, compensation expectations, and search progress, using market feedback to adjust recruiting strategies when needed.
• Keep searches moving by managing interview logistics, following up on feedback, addressing candidate concerns, and maintaining consistent communication throughout the process.
• Own Greenhouse configuration, management of candidate records, and pipeline visibility, ensuring clear next steps and timely follow-through across active requisitions.
• Partner with the People Team and hiring managers to develop competitive offers, navigate candidate questions, and close talent in a competitive market.
• Identify gaps in the recruiting process and implement practical improvements that help the team hire more effectively as Skyryse grows.

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of recruiting experience, including full-cycle ownership of technical or engineering searches
• Experience sourcing and recruiting for hard-to-fill roles, with the ability to develop a search strategy beyond inbound applicants
• Ability to understand technical job requirements, distinguish relevant candidate experience, and communicate effectively with hiring managers
• Strong candidate engagement and closing skills, including the ability to build interest in an opportunity and maintain momentum throughout the hiring process
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a disciplined approach to pipeline management and follow-through
• Self-directed working style, with the judgment to prioritize competing searches, solve problems independently, and keep hiring managers informed

Preferred Qualifications:

• Recruiting experience in aerospace, aviation, defense, robotics, or hardware
• Experience recruiting for specialized engineering disciplines
• Experience working in a startup or high-growth technology company is strongly preferred
• Experience partnering with senior level hiring managers
