Job summary
KBR in Huntsville, AL is seeking a Technical Publications Specialist to develop, write, and maintain high-quality aerospace and defense documentation. You will collaborate with engineers and program teams to ensure data accuracy, compliance, and alignment with military standards, guiding manuals, guides, and digital content.
You will review publications for ITAR/EAR compliance, manage revisions, and convert technical data into curricula.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in logistics, engineering, technical writing, aviation technology, or related disciplines.
- Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in logistics, aviation maintenance, technical publications, or comparable domains.
- Active Secret security clearance required.
Responsibilities
- Research, draft, and update operator manuals, maintenance guides, and specifications.
- Review and comment on documentation for ITAR/EAR compliance, copyright, and trademarks.
- Formulate clear, safe, step-by-step procedures for field and sustainment maintenance.
- Ensure accuracy of graphics, diagrams, tables, and flowcharts.
- Coordinate with IPTs and publication teams to meet contractual requirements.
- Organize manual verification and validation events.
