Myrick Recruiting LLC has partnered with an established U.S. designer and manufacturer of industrial machine knives, custom blades, and razors. Founded in 1965 and headquartered in Centerville, Ohio, they serve a wide variety of markets including recycling, flooring installation, food packaging, and tree care. This role has huge growth as far as future title and responsibilities

Prefers experience with Ipicor ERP System, Acquisitions, and installation of new CRM and ERP systems. Experience in AI and able to mange and measure data.

Required Skills/Experience:

5-10 years’ experience working within IT purchasing, sales operations, or business analysis functions.

3-5 years’ experience working with ERP systems such as Sage, SAP, Epicor, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, etc.

Experience with SQL or Access highly desirable.

Generally Office environment. Incumbent may occasionally require exposure to the manufacturing floor and/or warehouse.

General Requirements:

Ability to learn and utilize Sage 100 ERP, Crystal Reports, and Microsoft Excel at an expert level.

Ability to communicate with internal colleagues and external service providers.

Ability to work cross-functionally to align process and systems that benefit system users.

Education:

B.S. in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration or equivalent business/work experience. MBA highly preferred.

Job Purpose: Responsible for leading the organization's technology strategy and digital transformation initiatives to improve efficiency, scalability, security, and business performance. This role identifies, evaluates, and implements innovative technologies including Artificial Intelligence (AI), automation, cloud solutions, data analytics, and enterprise applications to streamline operations, reduce costs, and empower employees across all business functions.

The Director of Information Systems & AI ensures the reliability, security, and performance of all business technology platforms, including networks, cybersecurity infrastructure, ERP, CRM, collaboration tools, cloud services, and other mission-critical systems. The role is accountable for safeguarding company data, maintaining business continuity, and ensuring compliance with applicable security and governance standards.

Additionally, the Information Systems Manager drives the organization's data and AI strategy by promoting data quality, accessibility, and governance while enabling teams to leverage business intelligence, analytics, automation, and AI-powered solutions to make informed decisions and improve productivity. The position serves as a strategic partner to leadership, fostering innovation, documenting best practices, and aligning technology investments with the company's long-term business objectives.

Essential Functions:

• Provides strategic leadership for Network Administrator and other IT team members. Develop talent through coaching, mentoring, and performance management. Establishes departmental goals, aligns team priorities with business objectives, and ensures successful execution of initiatives.
• Serves as the organization's technology and AI strategist by continuously evaluating emerging technologies, artificial intelligence, automation, and digital innovations. Identifies opportunities to leverage these capabilities to improve operational efficiency, enhance decision-making, and create competitive advantage.
• Communicates and works cross-functionally with other departments to understand processes and define users’ needs. Devises technology solutions that support processes and drive increased efficiency and productivity.
• Identifies opportunities to enhance efficiency and productivity through technology automation. Devises and implements automation solutions.
• Is responsible for the security of all network resources and applications. Works with third parties to execute security audits and oversees any required remediation. Ensures all operating systems and applications are updated with the latest service packs.
• Develops test plans/scenarios for new applications and application upgrades. Leads cross functional teams to execute test plans. Leverages insights gained from test plans to make adjustments to systems and/or process.
• Leads complex, cross-functional technology and digital transformation projects from strategy through implementation. Establishes project governance, manages resources and budgets, mitigates risks, and ensures initiatives deliver measurable business value.
• Champions the organization's data strategy by developing advanced analytics, business intelligence, AI-driven insights, and reporting capabilities that support informed decision making. Promotes a data-driven culture while ensuring data quality, governance, and accessibility.
• Identifies and qualifies potential technology vendors. Serves as the primary interface for such vendors. Ensures projects initiated with third party vendors are successfully completed on time and on budget.
• Serves as the subject matter expert for Sage ERP by understanding native system functionality for all modules. Works with all departments to educate users on native functionality. Oversees the development of custom functionality where needed.
• Identifies opportunities to migrate applications and technology resources to the Cloud to enhance performance, reduce cost, and/or improve security. Drives the organization towards a consistent technology architecture to avoid proliferation of disparate systems.
