Job summary

Renew Home is seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager for a six-month contract to oversee software and product development schedules, milestones, and launches. This role reports to the Director, Program Management and supports our product roadmap across a large residential virtual power plant initiative in North America.

You will partner with Design and Engineering teams to drive programs, manage risks, and ensure successful testing and deployment while communicating with executives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of experience in Technical / Engineering Program Management.
• Experience with software development and managing execution of programs spanning multiple engineering teams.
• 5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team.
• Experience with consumer-facing products.
• Ability to use technical judgment to drive and prioritize software engineering programs.
• Ability to understand the big picture from a technical and schedule standpoint; engineering background is a bonus.
• Strong ability to drive programs forward, remove roadblocks, and escalate major risks or issues.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills; able to communicate at an Executive level.
• Ability to manage several complex projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Drive product development programs to milestones while managing and communicating schedules across multiple teams.
• Facilitate scheduling, resourcing, and prioritization of engineering workflows.
• Assess and mitigate program risks across product, design, and engineering.
• Contribute to program management systems and structures to support the technical team.
• Manage product features and projects through the full lifecycle, focusing on testing, launches, and landing.
• Collaborate with Product & Engineering leadership to construct and maintain plans, schedules, and risk trackers.
