who we are

lululemon is an innovative performance apparel company for yoga, running, training, and other athletic pursuits. Setting the bar in technical fabrics and functional design, we create transformational products and experiences that support people in moving, growing, connecting, and being well. We owe our success to our innovative product, emphasis on stores, commitment to our people, and the incredible connections we make in every community we're in. As a company, we focus on creating positive change to build a healthier, thriving future. In particular, that includes creating an equitable, inclusive and growth-focused environment for our people.

about this team

The Senior Technical Program Manager, Engineering Chief of Staff, is the right hand to a Vice President of Engineering accountable for lululemon’s digital guest experience: our websites, mobile apps and global ecommerce. You’ll run the organization’s operating rhythm, lead the programs that cross team and organizational boundaries, and lead the program management team that gets our largest launches out the door.

This role combines technical depth with executive judgment. You’ll turn engineering signal into clear plans and decisions, hold teams to their commitments across North America and our India Technology Hub, and help the leadership team make trade-offs on scope, cost and risk. You’ll partner closely with leaders in Engineering, Product, Architecture, UX and the business, and report directly to the VP.

core responsibilities

As a Senior Technical Program Manager, you will coordinate technology program delivery across multiple teams, managing dependencies and ensuring successful delivery of technical capabilities while balancing scope, timeline, and resource constraints. You will translate business needs into program plans, align work across teams, and drive program execution through effective planning, risk management, and stakeholder communication. You will own program success by tracking progress, managing changes, and coordinating delivery activities, continuously strengthening program management practices.

Select responsibilities include:

Running the organization

  • Run the operating rhythm for the VP’s organization: annual and quarterly planning, business reviews, leadership staff meetings, and the decision and action log that keeps them moving
  • Own the organization’s portfolio view of priorities, roadmap commitments, capacity, headcount and budget, and keep it current enough to make trade-off decisions from
  • Prepare executive reviews and communications for the VP, senior leadership and steering committees, with clear status, risks and asks
  • Drive cross-organization initiatives on the VP’s behalf, such as workforce and location planning, vendor transitions and new ways of working, from proposal through adoption
  • Represent the VP in forums that need technical judgment, and bring back clear options and recommendations
  • Lead programs that span web, mobile and global ecommerce, including major launches and market expansions: planning, dependencies, release readiness, go/no-go, cutover and hypercare
  • Manage dependencies with platform, commerce, identity, marketing and enterprise technology teams, and resolve conflicts across organizational boundaries
  • Lead and develop the delivery program management team: hire, coach and set the standard for planning, status, risk and release management
  • Use AI and automation to cut manual status reporting, so program managers spend their time on decisions and risks rather than decks
  • Manage program and vendor budgets, including forecasting, variance and delivery-partner performance

qualifications

  • 10+ years in technology, including 5+ years leading large, multi-team technical programs
  • A technical background, typically as a software engineer, engineering lead or architect, that lets you go deep with engineers on architecture, release and operational trade-offs
  • Experience as a chief of staff or in a business operations role for a senior engineering leader, or running the operating rhythm for a large technology organization
  • A track record of delivering complex, consumer-scale programs in web, mobile or ecommerce, including launches with cutover and hypercare
  • Experience leading and developing program managers
  • Strong executive communication: you can write a one-page decision memo and run a steering committee
  • Experience managing budgets of $10M+ and working with vendors and delivery partners
  • Experience delivering with distributed teams across time zones, including global capability centres or offshore partners
  • Fluency across agile and plan-driven delivery, and comfort using data and AI tools to run programs
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience; PMP or similar certification is a plus

must haves

  • Acknowledge the presence of choice in every moment and take personal responsibility for your life.
  • Possess an entrepreneurial spirit and continuously innovate to achieve great results.
  • Communicate with honesty and kindness and create the space for others to do the same.
  • Lead with courage, knowing the possibility of greatness is bigger than the fear of failure.
  • Foster connection by putting people first and building trusting relationships.
  • Integrate fun and joy as a way of being and working, aka doesn’t take yourself too seriously.
