Amazon is committed to innovation and providing top-tier delivery experiences through new product development. In 2019, Amazon committed to the "Climate Pledge" to meet the Paris Agreement 10 years early (2040).

The Amazon Logistics Energy & Infrastructure team’s mission is to develop infrastructure and services to support one of the largest electric fleets and EV charging networks worldwide. We are building capabilities, tools, and mechanisms for EV Service Equipment (EVSE) to manage the transition to electric fleets. We are pioneers in this field, working without a playbook.

The Senior Program Manager for Electrification Products on the AMZL Energy & Infrastructure team will lead the application of new EVSE technologies to enable large-scale EV deployments, enhancing customer experience. They will articulate technical differences in EVSE technologies, identify gaps, and propose solutions for energy-efficient, cost-effective, and scalable EVSE networks. Responsibilities include driving engineering requirements, defining performance criteria, leading product validations, piloting new technologies, and supporting onsite installation and commissioning.

The ideal candidate will have a background in electrification or automotive engineering, product management skills, analytical mindset, resourcefulness, customer focus, team orientation, and independence in developing EVSE products from scratch. They should be capable of managing high-visibility strategic initiatives and executing complex projects end-to-end in a fast-paced environment, with high standards for quality, performance, and cost.

Key job responsibilities
  1. Provide technical diligence on EVSE products, defining requirements, specifications, and test cases based on business and customer needs (design, performance, safety, regulations, load management).
  2. Understand EVSE design aspects (scalability, robustness, performance), operations (efficiency, usability, reliability), costs, maintenance, safety, and security risks to identify improvement areas.
  3. Validate EVSE products against internal and regulatory standards to ensure top performance.
  4. Lead partnerships to ensure interoperability between EVSE, EVs, and CPOs.
  5. Manage product quality, including defining specifications, creating test protocols, and ensuring interoperability with EVs and delivery systems.
  6. Address field issues through failure analysis, root-cause investigation, remediation, and establishing long-term solutions. Support maintenance, troubleshooting, and operational procedures.
