Job description

Build the future of the AI Data Cloud. Join the Snowflake team.

We’re at the forefront of the data revolution, committed to building the world’s greatest data and application platform. Our customers remain engaged and super satisfied with our technology and are constantly asking us to expand our offerings. Hence, Snowflake is now striving to become the cloud data platform of choice for everyone who needs affordable, reliable, scalable and elastic data management in the cloud. Armed with great technical talent our expanded product offering will be designed for the cloud and automatically handle infrastructure, optimization, availability, data protection, and more, so our users can focus on using their data, not managing it.

We are looking to hire an experienced Senior Technical Program Manager who can be part of a world-class team that builds Snowflake’s product and cloud platform. This role is a unique opportunity to make a significant impact by building a flexible, large scale, high-performance, and resilient platform for Snowlake features and services. Be part of the vision to create the best data cloud platform. Our ‘get it done’ culture allows everyone at Snowflake to have an equal opportunity to innovate on new ideas, create work with a lasting impact, and excel in a culture of collaboration.

AS A SENIOR TECHNICAL PROGRAM MANAGER, YOU WILL:
  • Provide cross-functional leadership and collaborate with Engineering and Product Management, and inter/intra team communications to deliver outstanding program outcomes.

  • Bring strong, data-driven and strategic technical judgment to decisions. Partner with cross functional teams to drive technical analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, and post implementation phases.

  • Work closely with Software Engineers across various teams and Product Managers to get high-quality products and features through the software project lifecycle.

  • Manage cross functional dependencies, risks, and changes effectively by optimizing scope, schedule, and resources accordingly.

  • Develop and own communication plans to effectively and proactively communicate program status, issues, and risks to stakeholders.

  • Amplify your impact by educating and mentoring the TPM and Engineering communities on program management best practices.

  • Identify opportunities to improve execution of the organization as a whole, to increase engineering productivity through tools and process improvements.

A SENIOR TECHNICAL PROGRAM MANAGER AT SNOWFLAKE IS EXPECTED TO HAVE:
  • 7+ years of demonstrated industry experience and expertise driving medium to large scale software projects, managing the definition of technical strategies, and building long-term scalable solutions.

  • Ability to thrive and succeed in a dynamic environment not slowed down by ambiguity or competing priorities.

  • Experience working cross functionally with engineering, product management, and other functions involved in the product life cycle especially in earlier phases when product or architecture are not yet well defined

  • Able to identify gaps in solutions, debate technical approaches, and weigh in on product vs. technology tradeoffs.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills, with the ability to interact with technical and non-technical groups.

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, consultation and organizational skills.

  • BS/MS/PhD degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields or equivalent practical experience.

Every Snowflake employee is expected to follow the company’s confidentiality and security standards for handling sensitive data. Snowflake employees must abide by the company’s data security plan as an essential part of their duties. It is every employee's duty to keep customer information secure and confidential.

Snowflake is growing fast, and we’re scaling our team to help enable and accelerate our growth. We are looking for people who share our values, challenge ordinary thinking, and push the pace of innovation while building a future for themselves and Snowflake.
