Job summary

NVIDIA Corporation in Santa Clara, CA is seeking a Technical Program Manager to lead end-to-end development of autonomous driving features within the Autonomous Vehicles Product/Program Management team.

You will coordinate multiple engineering teams, define roadmaps, manage schedules, track progress, and ensure quality while communicating status to management and partners. Relevant background in automotive software, AI, and experience with Jira/JAMA is valued.

  • BS/MS Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience) with 8+ years in a similar role
  • Experience planning and executing complex software projects, and launching new products or features
  • Proven experience in Automotive, Robotics and/or AI
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate on global projects across large organizations

Responsibilities

  • Lead automotive software development across multiple engineering teams for ADAS/Autonomy features
  • Define product roadmaps, schedules, and drive execution across the organization
  • Coordinate release content with program managers and engineering managers who own components
  • Establish metrics to assess and improve product quality and execution
  • Develop a strong technical understanding of the stack to proactively identify and resolve issues
  • Regularly communicate program status and key issues to management and cross-functional teams

The Autonomous Vehicles Product/Program Management team is searching for an experienced Technical Program Manager to lead the end-to-end development of new autonomous driving features. We are the leading artificial intelligence computing company and are paving the way with innovations in gaming, visualization, supercomputing and self-driving cars. As a key member of our Autonomous Vehicles Team, you will be a key leader responsible for the software development execution of our autonomous driving software stack. NVIDIA gives automakers, Tier 1 suppliers, automotive research institutions, and start-ups the power and flexibility to develop and deploy breakthrough artificial intelligence systems for self-driving vehicles. Today, we are working with over 270 partners that are using our platform in the development of autonomous cars, trucks, shuttles and taxis.

What you'll be doing:

Leading automotive software development across multiple engineering teams related to ADAS/Autonomy features. Working with the engineering leads to define product and roadmaps, develop schedules, and drive the execution and tracking of these across the organization. Coordinating release content and efforts with multiple program managers and engineering managers who own individual components. Establishing metrics to assess and improve product quality and execution. Develop a strong technical understanding of the stack, to proactively identify and hand technical challenges, and resolving issues that affect scope, schedule and quality. Regularly communicating the program status and key issues to management and multi-functional teams within the organization.

What we need to see:

BS/MS Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience) with 8+ years of experience in a similar or related role Experience working in driving the planning and execution of complex software engineering projects, and new products or features to users. Proven experience in Automotive, Robotics and/or AI. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to collaborate on global projects across large organizations.

Ways to stand out from the crowd:

Proven experience leading end-to-end development of ADAS, autonomous vehicles and/or machine learning Experience with Jira and/or JAMA, to the point that you can comfortably guide an engineering team how to use these tools. Experience with start-ups and/or early-stage products.

The base salary range is 168,000 USD - 258,750 USD for Level 4, and 200,000 USD - 322,000 USD for Level 5.

  • You will also be eligible for equity and benefits.
