Job summary

Amazon Leo is building a high-visibility program to mitigate fraud and abuse across customers and the business. This senior technical program manager will partner with Engineering, Accounting, Operations, Product and other teams to deliver end-to-end solutions that reduce losses and improve trust.

You will own the program definition, drive milestones, track status, remove blockers, and communicate with senior leadership.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of technical product or program management experience.
  • 7+ years working directly with engineering teams.
  • 3+ years of software development experience.
  • 5+ years of technical program management with software teams.
  • Experience coordinating cross-functional release schedules.

Responsibilities

  • Drive end-to-end ownership of mitigating fraud and abuse across Leo stakeholders.
  • Define and deliver the program including status updates and issue resolution.
  • Coordinate launch plans with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Report progress to senior/executive leadership across workstreams.

This senior technical program manager will be responsible in managing large programs to mitigate fraud and abuse risk faced by both Leo's customers and business.

Key job responsibilities

This Technical Program Manager is a highly visible role across the organization. You will drive alignment across Engineering, Accounting, Operations, Product, Business and other partner teams. We are looking for a highly analytical, resourceful, customer focused, team-oriented individual who also has the ability to work independently under significant time constraints to meet deadlines. You will have a proven track record in taking on end-to-end ownership and successfully delivering results in a fast-paced and dynamic business environment. This includes owning the end to end management of delivering the features required to mitigate fraud and abuse, monitoring the effectiveness of the mitigation and driving accountability across the organization to reduce fraud and abuse losses. You will own the definition and delivery of the program, including keeping stakeholders informed with status, holding teams accountable to their deliverables, identifying and resolving blocking issues to ensure the delivery. You will be responsible for understanding software design concepts and contribute to large scale architectural designs. You should be comfortable diving deep and understand the mechanism of multiple complex systems. You will be responsible for delivering the launch plans with internal and external stakeholders. You will own communication to senior/executive leadership tracking progress across various workstreams. You will manage new projects and initiatives end-to-end and ensure our high standards.

Export Control Requirement

Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Basic Qualifications
  • 5+ years of technical product or program management experience
  • 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
  • 3+ years of software development experience
  • 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience
  • Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
Preferred Qualifications
  • 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
  • Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
  • Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
