Job description

Senior Technical Program Manager, ADC PEET

The Amazon Dedicated Cloud (ADC) Platform Engineering and Emerging Technology (PEET) Periphery team is seeking a talented, detail-oriented Senior Technical Program Manager (TPM) to support AWS activities in US ADC regions supporting the Department of Defense and Intelligence Community.

The Periphery team supports AWS IoT, AWS HPC, AWS EUC, and AWS Cryptography products and services for US ADC customers. AWS IoT is a managed cloud platform for connected devices; AWS HPC enables large, complex simulations and deep learning workloads; AWS EUC offers virtual desktops and secure web browsers; AWS Cryptography provides certificate and credential management services.

A Senior TPM will solve service-centric technical and business problems, devise program strategies, and facilitate technology solutions. They will work independently across initiatives, understand security risks, and balance short-term and long-term needs.

From Day 1, TPMs are given ownership of projects, strategic thinking, data-driven decisions, and impact delivery, supported by teammates.

Daily responsibilities include working with TPMs, service teams, and engineers to track deployment progress, identify dependencies, mitigate risks, and ensure timely service deployment.

Our team is passionate about creating exceptional customer experiences through large-scale programs across 30+ services.

This role requires an active TS/SCI security clearance, with ongoing maintenance and polygraph as needed.

Key job responsibilities
  1. Identify and drive projects to improve secure operations of ADC regions through automation or education.
  2. Develop and manage project schedules, identify risks, communicate them, and facilitate conflict resolution.
  3. Shape vision for performance and risk management to enhance security operations.
  4. Engage with AWS service and security teams to ensure security parity across regions.
  5. Investigate security processes and identify automation opportunities.
  6. Resolve ambiguities, align team plans, and maximize project success.
  7. Track and report progress using impact and value metrics.

Candidates should demonstrate a proven track record of on-time, within-budget project completion and ability to work across organizational levels to build partnerships and earn respect.
