Job summary

Astranis is seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager to partner with the Director to drive all aspects of program execution for a high-impact space program. You will develop schedules, manage interdependencies, and steer priorities across Engineering, Production, Sales, Supply Chain and Finance to keep the program on track.

You will oversee budgets, trade off costs across subsystems, and lead cross-functional reviews.

Qualifications

• In-depth experience building and managing program schedules with complex interdependencies.
• Experience leading cross-functional engineering programs and budgets.
• Engineering degree required (BS or equivalent).
• Strong communication skills with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to operate in ambiguous, fast-paced environments with creative problem-solving.

Senior Technical Program Manager

As the Technical Program Manager for an Astranis program, you will work with the Director to drive all aspects of program execution. This is a high-impact, high-visibility position within Engineering.

Role

• Develop integrated schedule with measurable milestones for the program, manage interdependencies and critical paths
• Drive priorities and execution across the program
• Work cross-functionally with Engineering, Production, Sales, Supply Chain and Finance to remove day-to-day execution obstacles and keep the program on schedule
• Oversee the program budget, balance cost across subsystems and make trade decisions
• Drive rapid identification and resolution or program risks and changes
• Lead cross-functional program and design reviews
• Communicate and track progress effectively
• Negotiate with internal stakeholders and develop negotiation strategies for external partners
• Work with the program management team to develop company-wide program management processes and initiatives

Requirements

• Expertise in developing and managing program schedules and complex interdependencies using tools like Smartsheet or Project
• Bachelor of Science (or similar) degree in an Engineering discipline
• Strong communication skills, both internal and external facing
• Proven ability to work in an ambiguous, fast paced environment, overcome obstacles with creative solutions, and clearly document/communicate tactical plans
• 8 years engineering experience on large complex hardware programs
• 4 years engineering management or project management experience

Astranis pay ranges are informed and defined through professional-grade salary surveys and compensation data sources. The actual base salary offered to a successful candidate will additionally be influenced by a variety of factors including experience, credentials & certifications, educational attainment, skill level requirements, and the level and scope of the position.

Base Salary

Base Salary: $150,000 — $205,000 USD
