The role focuses on shaping opportunities with the Intelligence and Special Operations communities, developing proposals, and engaging with government program managers and industry partners. The ideal candidate has 8+ years in related fields, US citizenship, and readiness to travel up to 40%.

With five satellites on orbit and many more set to launch soon, the company is servicing a backlog of more than $1 billion of commercial contracts. Astranis is the preferred satellite communications partner for buyers with stringent requirements for uptime, data security, network visibility, and customization.

Director, National Security Program Development
This position will support the USG Sales team in shaping and capturing U.S. government business opportunities. The ideal candidate for this role has experience both as a user of space systems as well as developer of space capabilities, specifically within the Intelligence and Special Operations communities. This position will include personal interaction with Government program managers, senior decision makers, industry partners, and stakeholder associations. The position involves regular exchanges with Astranis senior management, program management, engineering, operations, and legal teams.

Base pay is just one component of Astranis's total rewards package. Your compensation also includes a significant equity package via incentive stock options, high-quality company-subsidized healthcare, disability and life insurance, 401(k) retirement planning, flexible PTO, and free on-site catered meals.
Base Salary: $150,000 — $225,000 USD
