Job description

COMPENSATION: $140,000 to $152,000 base salary, plus 15% to 20% bonus

You may already be delivering major aerospace or space programmes, but how much of the mission do you truly own?

This opportunity gives you responsibility for the planning, budget, risk and execution behind a first-of-its-kind orbital demonstration. You will work directly with the founders and have a clear route toward leading the project management function as the company scales.

The company is building an orbital energy network that beams concentrated solar power directly to satellites, giving operators access to significantly more power without modifying their existing spacecraft.

The technology has already set a world record at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center. Six commercial agreements are signed, the programme has U.S. Air Force backing, and the next milestone is taking the system to orbit.

Your mission

You will own delivery of the power-beaming spacecraft and the wider network programme.

This means creating the plan, managing a multi-million-dollar budget, coordinating technical teams and suppliers, controlling programme risk and keeping government, commercial and investment stakeholders aligned.

Nobody currently owns this end to end. You will define how these missions are delivered rather than inherit an established process.

What you will own

  • Programme plans, schedules, milestones and resources
  • Multi-million-dollar budgets and programme risk
  • Delivery across engineering, suppliers and leadership
  • Communication with government agencies, investors and commercial partners
  • Testing, validation, compliance and programme reporting
  • Improvements to the company’s wider delivery approach

Why this is worth leaving a good role for

  • Own the entire programme rather than one workstream
  • Deliver a first-of-its-kind orbital mission with a live launch target
  • Work directly with experienced space-industry founders
  • Build the delivery processes rather than inherit them
  • Gain direct exposure to government agencies, customers and investors
  • Progress into leading the project management function as the team grows
  • Join a 40-person company where your decisions have immediate visibility
  • Receive relocation support and benefit from no Florida state income tax

Your background

  • Programme or project leadership experience within space, aerospace, defence or complex engineering
  • A strong record of delivering cross-functional, multi-stakeholder programmes
  • Experience owning significant budgets, schedules and technical risk
  • Confidence operating within a fast-moving, small-team environment
  • Familiarity with Agile delivery, JIRA, Miro or ERP systems

This is not a role where you manage one section of someone else’s plan. You will own the plan, build the delivery model and lead the programme responsible for taking record-breaking technology from the ground to orbit.
