Job summary

Amazon Development Center U.S., Inc. in Seattle is seeking a Senior Technical Product Manager for AWS EC2 to drive strategic direction and the technical roadmap for a core cloud service.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in mathematics, engineering, statistics, computer science or a related field.
  • Experience translating customer needs into innovative and detailed product requirements for customer-facing online and mobile products/services.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams across engineering, operations, and field execution through launch readiness and go-live phases, or experience in similar environments.
  • Serve as the technical subject matter expert for the EC2 service, with a deep understanding of its underlying architecture, features, and capabilities.

  • Act as a technical advocate for customers, representing their needs and challenges to the product development team.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of the broader AWS ecosystem and how EC2 integrates with other AWS services.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to the sales and professional services teams to assist with complex customer engagements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and execute successful product launches, driving adoption and customer satisfaction.

Preferred Qualifications
  • MBA, or Master's degree
  • Experience and technical expertise (design and implementation) in cloud computing technologies
  • Experience that includes strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities
  • Experience working in a fast-paced work environment
  • Experience in written and verbal communication skills to communicate with technical and non-technical audiences, including senior leadership
  • Experience developing technology solutions and evangelising end-to-end technology roadmaps that guide IT transformations toward cloud computing
