This role is part of Enterprise Technology (ET), the center of excellence for digital technology at Blue Origin, providing oversight and governance to align technology and business strategies.
Role Description
As a Senior Technical Product Manager, you will own the strategy, roadmap, and delivery of software products that support Blue Origin's manufacturing, test, flight, and operations workflows. Your team builds systems that capture what happens on the factory floor, at the test stand, and throughout vehicle processing, turning manual or inefficient workflows into reliable digital workflows and giving engineers the data they need to move faster and make better decisions. You will work across operations, manufacturing leaders, software engineers, designers, and other stakeholders to identify high‑value problems and ship software that solves them.

- Develop customer empathy and understanding of day‑to‑day operations and problems, regularly engaging with aerospace engineers, manufacturing partners, and operations teams to gather feedback and enhance the product experience.
- Own the product roadmap, making data‑driven decisions to prioritize features and enhancements based on customer needs, business impact, and technical feasibility.
- Deliver high‑quality products on time and within budget. Define detailed product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria. Use AI to prototype and ship features quickly, accelerating delivery.
- Lead cross‑functional teams to ensure successful product development and launch. Act as a product evangelist, drive adoption of features, and align resources across teams to deliver on goals.
- Understand and influence technical decisions and system architectures for your product area, evaluating emerging technologies for durable business value.
- Define, monitor, and report on key metrics to measure product success. Leverage data to make informed decisions, iterate on product features, and communicate insights crisply to leadership.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 5+ years of product management experience with a proven track record of managing products through their entire lifecycle from conception to launch and scale.
- Ability to understand and discuss technical concepts, make trade‑offs, and evaluate new ideas; track record of influencing software architecture and design.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to leverage data for strategy, decision making, product prioritization, and impact measurement.
- Demonstrated fluency with AI tools and evolving technologies to prototype, iterate, and ship features with speed and quality.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, conveying complex ideas to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and influence cross‑functional teams without direct authority; strong ownership and organizational skills.
- Experience in aerospace, manufacturing, industrial operations, or a similarly complex technical environment is a plus.
