Job summary

AppFolio is seeking a Lead Technical Program Manager, Risk & Security to drive cross-functional execution of critical security initiatives across Engineering, SRE, IT, and Business Systems.

You will unify application security, infrastructure security, vulnerability management, and adversarial testing under a single roadmap, empowering our teams to build safely, mitigate risks early, and maintain customer trust.

Qualifications

• Proven track record in technical program management within security or engineering.
• Experience coordinating cross-functional technical projects across software dev lifecycles.
• Hands-on experience with Jira for backlog and delivery timelines.
• Strong communication for executive-level reporting.
• Ability to manage dependencies and vendor engagements.

Responsibilities

• Establish, maintain, and execute strategic roadmaps for core internal security initiatives.
• Partner with Engineering, SRE, IT, and Business Systems to scope requirements and track milestones.
• Implement structured intake and prioritization processes for security projects.
• Identify blockers, gaps, and conflicts; escalate with actionable options.
• Serve as the single cross-functional liaison for security-driven initiatives.
• Deliver executive-ready reporting on program health and outcomes.
