Job summary

GovCIO is seeking a Technical Project Manager to support the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Data Modernization initiative. This remote role acts as the technical coordinator and delivery lead for workspace provisioning, intake optimization, automation enablement, and cloud tool integration, ensuring secure, fully configured workspaces.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or commensurate experience in IT.
15+ years in project management, engineering, or related IT roles.
Experience in technical project management, cloud coordination, or delivery for data teams.
Strong understanding of cloud architectures and data platforms.
Azure Cloud experience including Azure Government environments.
Familiarity with Databricks and data lake architectures.
Ability to translate requirements into project plans and milestones.

Responsibilities

Oversee end‑to‑end technical delivery of pre‑created workspaces with common toolsets.
Manage intake workflows and correctly map users to personas, workspaces, and access configurations.
Lead complex cloud platform initiatives across VA programs with engineering, security, and DevSecOps teams.
Provide technical program leadership across Azure infrastructure, networking, identity, data services, and integration needs.
Drive Agile/SAFe execution including PI Planning, sprints, and milestones.
Translate business requirements into actionable technical solutions and dependencies.
Maintain documentation, conduct risk reviews, and communicate status to leadership.
