WSP USA is seeking a Senior Hydrogeologist in Portland, Maine to provide senior technical guidance on soil, groundwater, and environmental data collection and analysis. You will lead subsurface investigations, manage QA/QC, and contribute to remedial strategies within the Earth & Environment Team.
The role requires 15+ years of experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to mentor junior staff while ensuring high-quality deliverables in accordance with regulatory requirements.
WSP is initiating a search for a Senior Hydrogeologist in our Portland, Maine office. Join our Earth & Environment Team and contribute to projects that help clients achieve their objectives and address complex challenges. In this role, the Senior Hydrogeologist will provide senior-level technical support and guidance for collecting, identifying, compiling, and analyzing data from soil, groundwater, surface water, sediment, air/vapor, and other environmental media. This position will also plan and execute subsurface and environmental investigations. The successful candidate will support project leadership with environmental site assessments and corrective action strategies for treatment, disposal, and/or onsite remediation, while ensuring work is delivered at a quality level that meets or exceeds industry standards.

Expected Salary (all locations): $103,000 - $153,000 WSP USA is providing the compensation range that the company in good faith believes it might pay and offer for this position, based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities in addition to internal equity and specific geographic location. WSP USA reserves the right to ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and offer additional benefits and other compensation, depending on circumstances not related to an applicant’s sex or other status protected by local, state, and/or federal law.
