The Job Details are as follows:

The Senior Technical Manager leads the Data Quality Engineering group, driving technical excellence and innovation in our shared software components. This role requires a strategic thinker who can operate autonomously while building high-performing teams that deliver results in a fast-paced environment. This manager will lead efforts to ensure data integrity across the organization through innovative quality solutions.

Responsibilities:

1. Lead and develop a high-performing technical team by fostering collaboration, and a culture where team members are willing to step up and get the job done
2. Drive technical decisions during software development with minimal direction, demonstrating strong independent judgment
3. Establish and document processes and systems that enhance team productivity and software quality
4. Implement and oversee data validation processes for incoming data across the organization
5. Implement and manage software components shared between products and organizations
6. Collaborate across organizational boundaries to identify and develop common shared software components that reduce overall development expenses
7. Utilize metrics effectively to drive team quality and performance improvements
8. Overcome obstacles creatively to ensure project success and timely delivery
9. Perform administrative duties including team building, performance evaluation, and growing team’s career growth
10. Provide technical direction, guidance, and mentoring to staff members

Minimum Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering discipline
2. 5+ years of project management experience, including leadership of senior developers and architects
3. Strong track record of applying Generative AI technologies to solve business problems
4. Demonstrated proficiency in implementing and leveraging Generative AI solutions
5. Understanding of Large Language Models
6. 8+ years of Java software development experience
7. Coding skills in XML, Junit, and testing are highly desirable
8. Experience with Big Data technologies using Hadoop ecosystem
9. Experience with Cloud based technologies including, but not limited to, AWS and Snowflake
10. Experience with NoSQL, MapReduce and Spark
11. Experience with Linux (or any UNIX for that matter)
12. Proven experience building and nurturing high-performing technical teams
13. Experience establishing processes and creating comprehensive system documentation
14. Proficiency in Jira administration and utilizing metrics to drive team performance
15. Strong problem-solving skills with a track record of overcoming obstacles to deliver results
16. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to build consensus across teams
17. Experience with Agile Software Development methodologies

Desired Qualifications:

1. Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field
2. Budgeting and Financial Planning experience at the group level
3. Project Management Certification
4. Experience deploying enterprise application integration technologies
5. Experience deploying web services in a service-oriented architecture
